2023 - Recharge - Connect

Wherever you are, whatever you do, take time to relax and rest.

Connect from sunset on 31st Jan to sunset on 1st Feb 2023. There is no face to face meeting for Imbolc 2023.

Our inspiration for the Theme of Recharge comes from Pat.

He wrote this is 2020.... Realising I’m doing an awful lot of bloody thinking – far too much in 5 minutes – and stopping, counting breaths, (which I’ve learnt on the meditation course) …One… Two… Three… Four... Five... Breathing slowly, thinking only about the breath. For 30 - 40 minutes. That’s why I meditate. Pat Farrell.

Cloths and scarfs out for healing on this St Bridget's eve. Was very much guided to put out the scarfs to gift to those in future in need of healing including myself and family. As I walked this evening I noticed the evening much brighter and sunsets a few minutes longer in the last couple of weeks.

As I rest and observe all going on within and around me the message my inner voice higher power guides and angels are saying:

"no rush, STOP and OBSERVE, be STILL and LISTEN to your SOUL."

Let your SOUL guide you through whatever HEALING or CHALLENGE you might be experiencing, let go and let the fire of the goddess light you up slowly.

Remember, a fire starts with a small spark. See each spark go through every part of your body, each cell, blood, organs, senses, and your soul, until the time is right for you to rise, the Phoenix rising from the Ashes.

In this time of brighter days and seeds to be planted within the body, mind and soul as well as nature. Many blessings to you all on this St Bridget eve.

And the first day of St Bridget being acknowledged - always remembering to acknowledge yourself, the goddess in us all, male and female.

It's Your Time to Shine - many blessings to each and everyone of you. Bernadette Mac.

P.S Bernadette has been reading The Expected One (Magdalene Line Trilogy 1) by McGowan, Kathleen (2007). Many have mentioned Mary Magdalene this Imbolc.

Pat in Ireland

The symbolic Goddess of Sovereignty of Tara was made by Marta in 2012. She is Medb Lethderg - Maeve of the Red Side. She is also said to be linked to Maeve - queen of Connacht and the Morrigan.

Symbols for the day that's in it.

Martin in the Burren - Galway / Clare

6th February - Martin got up early for his Imbolc pilgrimage to see the sun aligning with the boulder and chamber of a cairn on the Burren. Dawn chorus was good. And there are daffodils in his garden!

Red Sky Days

The sky as the sun was setting. It was on fire. How appropriate and just after St. Brigid's Day, the goddess of Fire.

Moving On from the Recharge

It is a long period, from Brigid's Eve to the new Irish Bank Holiday on 6th February, in which we have been relaxing and recharging. And once recharged we have the energy, strength and intentions to move onward. But how? Bernadette Mac came up with the answer for Full Moon on 5th February.

She relates - "As I sat to hold space on what to say for tonight's full moon my mind went blank, but my soul said 'pull a card', so this is the card message for this full moon."

Emerging

"your true self - radiant, powerful, successful, and intelligent, - is now SHINING through the surface. Allow your true self to be visible to others, for you lift them up and inspire them."

You are awesome in so many ways, and you are beginning to trust and reveal your true Nature more easily, it's time for you to shine and no better time in this universe tonight, on the full moon in Leo.

At one time you may have believed that you had to hide your feelings from others (or even from yourself). Now however you realise how vital and attractive expressing your true authentic self is. Your angels are guiding you to honour your true feelings by expressing them to yourself and others. The angels will help of lovingly talk about our feelings, so that no misunderstandings occur with friends and loved ones. Your angels will never guide you to say anything that hurt you or anyone else! They will also ensure that your life will emerge to a new level of inner peace as you let your true self come into play.

Brigid, Our Spirit Stirring

A film created and performed by older people from Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Monaghan and Sligo, with artist Marie Brett. The project explored past and future views of Brigid and her transformative relationship to the Irish people. Participants worked with Marie in a series of craft and poetry workshops. They produced hand-crafted artefacts such as Brigid-style crosses, protective God’s eyes, masks, hats and Brídéoga. These were brought together for a final pageant event held at the National Museum of Ireland, Country Life, in Mayo. Participants paraded their creations in a procession inspired by traditional ritual and holy pilgrimage. Fantastic video. NJ
