2020 - On the Threshold of a Dream - Bective / home

Wherever you are and whatever you do to mark this season may you be happy, healthy and blessed.

Celebrating Autumn Equinox was in line with government advice during the pandemic. So it was planned to be held outdoors, with plenty of social distancing available, at Bective Mill. For the safety of all numbers present in person were limited. However, Dublin went into a new local lockdown on 18th September 2020. This meant those living in the county were advised not to travel outside it's boundaries.

For those wanting to join Autumn Equinox the etheric Global Spiritual Wheel opened for 24 hours from 10pm Sunday 20th September. On the Monday evening, with reduced numbers, due to Covid restrictions and other situations, only 2 were available to share the evening at Bective and so they decided to join in from their own homes as well.

Global Spiritual Wheel - Autumn Equinox celebration 2020

The circle opened from 10pm - 20th September to 10pm - 21st September by lighting the 3 candles in a lantern that has joined in many Tara Celebrations. It was in Derbyshire, linking to Ireland and specifically Tara and Bective.

For this celebration there was a suggested 'script'. It could be used 'as is' or, of course, changed to what people felt was right for them at the time. We all know what is comfortable for ourselves. It set the intentions and aimed to be an inspiration for whatever arose. Unity in diversity as ever.

There was a special energy at Loughcrew when John A visited at the weekend.

Jackie and Nora M joined in - lighting their candles at home.

Susan drew attention to the dark and light

Bernadette Mac in Navan

Bernadette lit her lantern when the Spiritual Wheel opened.

My circle of butterflies, hearts and tiny bells with a little candle in the centre.... "this little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine ... "

The butterflies, hearts and bells was a type of dreamcatcher, bought on the Hill of Tara by a good friend for my grandson, that you hung on his crib to help him slip off into sleepy dreamtime. I found it tangled up as I looked for something to put in my garden to tune In with the celebrations tonight, on the 21st of September 2020, autumn equinox and also World Peace Day.

So it presented itself to me and I felt to use it as a centerpiece for tuning in:

The butterflies representing freedom.
The hearts love.
The little bells at the end that made the beautiful sound as the baby drifted off to sleep.
The candle in the centre representing the soul. The light within.

Having called in the directions the Buddha caught my eye at the bottom of the garden so I also included him - the word "peace" came to mind.

I closed the directions and took the candle inside for it is still continuing to burn until I go to my dreamtime time tonight..

Today on the autumn equinox I noticed some swallows still around. And yes the leaves are falling and the Chestnuts are starting to crack open on the ground. A change in season.

This is my favourite time of year, the colours are so beautiful, there's a mixture of summer and autumn all in one.

The song that came to me tonight, along with "This little light of mine I'm gonna let It Shine" is "I closed my eyes, drew back the curtains."

Blessings to you all .

I closed my eyes drew back the curtain, to see for certain what I thought I knew.
Far far away someone was weeping but the world was sleeping, Any Dream Will Do.

I wore my coat with golden lining, bright colours shining wonderful and new. And in the east the dawn was breaking and the world was waiting. Any Dream Will Do.

Setting the general plan felt good, and the confirmation resonances with comments and pictures fell into place.

Yet you never know where a celebration will take you. These pictures show what I sensed to do on the day.

I usually check the numerology of a theme but firstly realised I had forgotten to do this. It works out as:

Destiny - 9 - emotionality and loyalty. Soul urge - 8 - success, especially in practical yet unusual activities. Personality - 1 - trying to be useful, to lead others and make decisions

On the 21st I coloured in the mandala and then lit the directions candles...

Called to create fruit and veg infinity symbols these were set out on placemats and then checked for their symbolism. In a spiritual context grapes can symbolise immortality and wisdom. Satsumas bring good luck at the Chinese New Year... and we are moving into a new cycle at Samhain. Tomatoes are a symbol of love. These were home grown and abundant this year.

Drawing a freehand symbol and following it's path round and round the words came into my head as I did that.

Finally, at 10pm, the centre was closed and the 5 lights added to the 3 already in the lantern.

I realised this signified the 8 festivals and a commitment to the coming year. Also the 8 is the infinity symbol rotated 90 degrees.

Thanks to Daniela for this lovely verse - Autumn....

written about 8 years ago, shared at the September Monday Open Heart meditation, and still relevent today....

Autumn, you are the season about recommencement;
There is satisfaction as the leaves drop from your trees;
And I crunch them under my feet;
The smell reminding me of the interluding of hearts when relationships need to breathe;
Bareness of trees reminding me I am getting wiser as another year comes to an end and the winter approaches with mysteries to unbend.

On the Threshold of a Dream

Intention - Creating a time and place to pause in the flow of the cycle of creation.

Theme inspiration – Row your boat gently and merrily down the stream. Life is but a dream.

Require - An infinity symbol for the meditation either drawn on a piece of paper, on the earth with flour if outside or use this one on the screen or as a clear thought image. 5 candles for the directions.

The Dream - Moody Blues Lyrics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u1zH11yqFQ

When the white eagle of the North is flying overhead
the browns, reds and golds of autumn lie in the gutter, dead.
Remember then, that summer birds with wings of fire flaying
came to witness spring's new hope, born of leaves decaying.
Just as new life will come from death, love will come at leisure.
Love of love, love of life and giving without measure
gives in return a wonderous yearn of a promise almost seen.
Live hand-in-hand and together we'll stand on the threshold of a dream.

Directions:

Set a candle in the centre – light it saying / thinking- ' Thank you energies of the centre for your wisdom and inspiration'. Other words / attributes for the direction may arise as you do this.

Then repeat placing candles in the east, south, west and north each time lighting them and saying / thinking – 'Thank you energies of the (east/south/west/north) for your wisdom and inspiration'.

Elements by Victoria Brickson – imagine this....

Place your hands into soil to feel grounded
Wade in water to feel emotionally healed.
Fill your lungs with fresh air to feel mentally clear
Raise your face to the heat of the sun to connect with that fire.
And feel your own immense power.

Review of the Last Cycle – Memories are made of these......

The new annual cycle starts at Samhain and this is a good opportunity to review the Tara Celebrations year as well as our own personal experiences. Consider what happened, laugh, cry, bless it, be grateful, be thankful, and let it pass, just as the clouds pass and day follows night.

Samhain - Celebrate Samhain at Fourknocks

Winter Solstice – Celebrating the simplicity and splendour of life at Tara

Imbolc - 2.02.02.2020 at Tara

Spring Equinox – Goodbye and Hello at Donabate Beach

Bealtaine – Mother Earth at Kilmurry and isolation pods

Summer Solstice – Together all one at Tara and own homes

Lughnasadh – Lughnasadh Reunion at Bective and Global Wheel

Autumn Equinox – now

On the Threshold of a Dream

If 'working' with the infinity symbol does not feel comfortable or 'not your thing' you may like to sit quietly and focus on the earth changes as autumn moves towards winter - the tree's leaves as they take on their full autumn colours, the flowers now setting seed, the squirrel building stores for the winter ahead and the birds, some migrating to warmer climates and others arriving from the colder countries. Think about what you would like to bring into your life now as the opportunities of being quiet and warm inside our homes abound. Feel this quiet comfort and the winter fires warming your inner life.

Preparation:

Remember infinity cannot be measured in time or space, like a dream it accesses our creative realms which are endless. Our time on earth may be finite but our souls exist forever. We use the symbol now to focus and combine the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual realms in this space.

Meditation:

Look at the symbol. Many see it as a figure 8 on it's side. I t brings simplicity and balance to our complicated lives. It can remind us of the past and the opportunities and possibilities of the future.

Place yourself at the crossing point. Pause. Focus on your in breath and out breath. You may like to have the intention on the in breath that all your journeys are smooth and blessed and on the out breath that all beings experience smooth and blessed journeys at every crossing point. Allow any thoughts to arise.

Using your finger to follow the outline, or walking the outline, or in your mind's eye, now move. Try moving clockwise. Maybe imagine a colour as you move. Just go with the flow of the symbol. Feel the rise and fall of the energies as you move. Allow thoughts, feelings, inspiration and insights to arise. Be aware life is full of infinite possibilities and you have unlimited potential.

And when you arrive at the crossing point, the doorway where the energies of the symbol meet, the threshold, each time pause and pay attention to the in and out breath.

Try anti-clockwise. Try stopping on each outer edge. Use the symbol however feels right for you.

Moving forward:

Finish, when you are ready, at the crosing point. Thank all the energies that have shared this experience with you. Be conscious of where you are, your body, your mind, feeling of being present and on the earth, living your life here.

With clear intention to move forward look straight ahead. Step forward and away from the symbol. If anything came up working with the infinity symbol now is a chance to release it if appropriate.

Release to the transformative fire energy of the sun....

Stand facing the west, the setting sun. Imagine all intentions & blocks which are in your life and let them flow from your heart into the sun, as the sun sets. It carries with it your cares and concerns to be transformed by it's purifying energy. Or you may prefer to write them on a piece of paper and burn it in a fire along with the symbol if drawn on paper.

Closure

Focus on the the 5 candles set in the Directions. Starting at north extinguish them one by one, finishing with the centre. Saying each time 'Thank you energies for your wisdom and inspiration'.
